In the fourth quarter 2023, Acconeer's net sales amounted to 10,612 kSEK, and the product revenue increased by 48% compared to the third quarter. The company sold approximately 153,000 sensors and 10,000 modules. In the quarter 308 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 7,341 EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin on sales of goods in Q4 was 60% and 11 new customer products were launched. After the quarter, it was announced that the company intends to carry out a fully guaranteed rights issue of SEK 150 million.

CEO Lars Lindell comments: “Highlights of the fourth quarter were major advances in the automotive industry, with several important design wins with major companies. In addition, we received the first prototypes of our next generation radar sensor, and we are pleased to say that these are performing above expectations, giving us confidence as we continue to develop and commercialize the A2.”

FOURTH QUARTER

  • Net sales for the fourth quarter amounted to kSEK 10,612 (13,859) TSEK.

  • The cash flow from operating activities was kSEK -37,276 (-36,220).

Interim report Q3 2023

In the third quarter 2023, Acconeer's net sales amounted to kSEK 8,379. More than 11,000 modules and approximately 96,000 sensors were sold. In total, Acconeer has sold 1,752,365 radar sensors and 160,903 modules since launch. In the quarter 364 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 7,033EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin in Q3 was 67% and 12 new customer products were launched.

CEO Lars Lindell comments: “We are very happy to see good progress in the automotive industry, where we now have four launched car models in total from one of the largest players in the industry. This is pleasing as it indicates that the system for access control incorporating Acconeer's sensor has become a standard product, and we hope for many more launches going forward. We were also happy to see as much as twelve launched customer products.”

Interim report Q2 2023

In the second quarter 2023, Acconeer's net sales amounted to kSEK 6,399. Close to 15,000 modules and 67,000 sensors were sold. In total, Acconeer has sold 1,656,662 radar sensors and 149,678 modules since launch. In the quarter as much as 425 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 6,669 EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin in Q2 was 61% and eight new customer products were launched.

CEO Lars Lindell comments: “We are of course disappointed by the weak sales, but seeing strong sales of EVKs and high customer activity we are convinced that the weak sales are due to the general temporary industry downturn. Besides this, the most important event during Q2 was the new regulations for the US market, which will open up for new and existing customers to expand their business in North America.”

SECOND QUARTER

  • Net sales for the second quarter amounted to kSEK 6,399 (10,779).
  • The gross margin on sales of goods was 61 (62)%.
  • Result after taxes amounted to kSEK -13,498 (-12,197).

FIRST SIX MONTHS

  • Net sales for the first six months amounted to kSEK 16,530 (20,900).

Interim report Q1 2023

In the first quarter 2023, Acconeer's net sales amounted to kSEK 10,131. More than 20,000 modules and 116,000 sensors were sold. In total, Acconeer has sold 1,589,665 radar sensors and 134,979 modules since launch. In the quarter 303 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 6,244 EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin in Q1 was 60% and six new customer products were launched.

CEO Lars Lindell comments: "The biggest news in Q1 2023 was that we could declare our A121 sensor ready for mass production, and customers can now buy it in volume from our distributors. Otherwise the quarter was weaker than expected, which is due to that our customers are reducing the inventories they built during the previous component shortage. After the end of the quarter, we were happy to receive an important design win in the automotive industry, with one of the world's largest car manufacturing companies."

In the fourth quarter 2022, Acconeer's net sales amounted to 13,859 kSEK, and the product revenue increased by 74% compared to the same quarter last year. A record number of sensors were sold, 264,783 and 14,140 modules were sold. In total, Acconeer has sold 1,473,379 radar sensors and 114,892 modules since launch. In the quarter 346 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 5,941 EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin in Q4 was 56% and 10 new customer products were launched.

Interim report Q2 2022

In the second quarter 2022, Acconeers net sales amounted to 10,779 kSEK, and the product revenue increased by 120% compared to the same quarter last year. A record number of sensors were sold, 167,654 and 21,294 modules were sold. In total, Acconeer has sold 1,023,177 radar sensors and 79,636 modules since launch. In the quarter 224 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 5,263 EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin in Q2 was 62% and as much as 12 new customer products were launched. At the end of the quarter, an evaluation kit (EVK) for Acconeers second radar sensor, A121, was shipped to distributors for sale.

CEO Lars Lindell comments: "The most important news in the second quarter was that we delivered evaluation kits for our new radar sensor A121 to distributors, who have since started selling it to customers for evaluation and product development. Now we look forward to seeing how it will be received by the market. In addition, we once again had a strong quarter, with a new record for the number of sensors sold and as many as 12 new customer launches."

In the first quarter 2022, Acconeer's net sales amounted to 10,121 kSEK, and the product revenue increased by 130% compared to the same quarter last year. A record number of modules were sold, 26,428 and 129,113 sensors were sold. In total, Acconeer has sold 855,523 radar sensors and 58,342 modules since launch. In the quarter 398 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 5,039 EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin in Q1 was 62% and as much as eleven new customer products were launched.

CEO Lars Lindell comments: "We are happy for yet another strong quarter, which also came with several very good news. We became a direct customer of our semiconductor wafer supplier, which gives us favorable wafer prices and payment terms. Shortly after the end of Q1 we could celebrate the launch of a social robot with one of the large global actors within the consumer electronics segment."

In the fourth quarter 2021, Acconeer AB's net sales amounted to kSEK 8,110, and the revenue increased by 174% compared to the same quarter last year. A record number of sensors were sold, 159,280, and 10,224 modules were sold. In total, Acconeer has sold 726,410 radar sensors and 32,874 modules since launch. In Q4 391 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 4,641 EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin in Q4 was 72% and ten new customer products were launched.

Lars Lindell, CEO Acconeer, comments: "We are pleased to have another strong quarter where we are once again breaking records in the number of sensors sold, despite the current global component shortage. We received our first volume order for the automotive industry and launched a customer in the robotic lawnmower segment, both new use cases for us. In addition, the number of customer launches is increasing rapidly, and we have a very strong pipeline for launches in 2022. Therefore, we are now raising our target for customer launches from five to ten per quarter."

FORTH QUARTER

  • Net sales for the fourth quarter amounted to kSEK 8,110 (2,956).

Interim report Q3 2021

In Q3 2021, Acconeer's net sales amounted to 7,859 kSEK, and the revenue increased by 183% compared to the same quarter last year. A record number of sensors were sold, 130,662, and 10,723 modules were sold. In total, Acconeer has sold 567,130 radar sensors and 22,650 modules since launch. In Q3 273 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 4,250 EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin in Q3 was 70% and seven new customer products were launched.

CEO Lars Lindell comments: "It feels great to be able to say that we sold more than 10,000 modules in Q3, which is almost as many as the total accumulated sales before the quarter, and this despite the global shortage of critical components which led to that we were unable to deliver on all purchase orders."

THIRD QUARTER
