Interim report Q3 2023

In the third quarter 2023, Acconeer's net sales amounted to kSEK 8,379. More than 11,000 modules and approximately 96,000 sensors were sold. In total, Acconeer has sold 1,752,365 radar sensors and 160,903 modules since launch. In the quarter 364 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 7,033EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin in Q3 was 67% and 12 new customer products were launched.

CEO Lars Lindell comments: “We are very happy to see good progress in the automotive industry, where we now have four launched car models in total from one of the largest players in the industry. This is pleasing as it indicates that the system for access control incorporating Acconeer's sensor has become a standard product, and we hope for many more launches going forward. We were also happy to see as much as twelve launched customer products.”

JANUARI-SEPTEMBER

  • Net sales for nine months amounted to kSEK 24,910 (32,966).
  • The gross margin on sales of goods was 62 (60)%.
  • Result after taxes amounted to kSEK -35,215 (-36,726).
  • Earnings per share before and after dilution was SEK -1.33 (-1.55).
  • The cash flow from operating activities was kSEK -27,430 (-29,247).
  • Cash and cash equivalents on the balance sheet date amounted to kSEK 42,431 (112,649).

In the third quarter 2022, Acconeer's net sales amounted to 12,066 kSEK, and the product revenue increased by 62% compared to the same quarter last year. A record number of sensors were sold, 185,419 and 21,116 modules were sold. In total, Acconeer has sold 1,208,596 radar sensors and 100,752 modules since launch. In the quarter 332 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 5,595 EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin in Q3 was 58% and as much as 11 new customer products were launched.

 CEO Lars Lindell comments: "The biggest news in Q3 were the great accomplishments in the automotive industry where we saw the first launched car that uses our radar sensor."

  • The gross margin on sales of goods was 60 (71) %.
  • Result after taxes amounted to kSEK-36,726 (-33,881).
  • Earnings per share before and after dilution was SEK -1.55 (-1.45).
  • The cash flow from operating activities was kSEK -29,247 (-25,973).
  • Cash and cash equivalents on the balance sheet date amounted to kSEK 112,649 (47,849).

SIGNIFICANT EVENTS DURING THE THIRD QUARTER

  • Acconeer received order from BEYD worth USD 300k.
  • First car using Acconeers A1 radar sensor launched.

  • Acconeer develops module based on the new A121 pulsed coherent radar sensor.

Interim report Q3 2021

In Q3 2021, Acconeer's net sales amounted to 7,859 kSEK, and the revenue increased by 183% compared to the same quarter last year. A record number of sensors were sold, 130,662, and 10,723 modules were sold. In total, Acconeer has sold 567,130 radar sensors and 22,650 modules since launch. In Q3 273 evaluation kits were sold, and an accumulated 4,250 EVKs have been sold since launch. The gross margin in Q3 was 70% and seven new customer products were launched.

CEO Lars Lindell comments: "It feels great to be able to say that we sold more than 10,000 modules in Q3, which is almost as many as the total accumulated sales before the quarter, and this despite the global shortage of critical components which led to that we were unable to deliver on all purchase orders."

INTERIM REPORT Q3 2020

In the third quarter 2020, Acconeer AB's net sales amounted to kSEK 2,780, and five new customer products were launched. The cash flow from operating activities was kSEK -9,338. During the quarter, 345 evaluation kits (EVK) were sold, which is above the company's target of selling on average three EVK per day.

Lars Lindell, CEO Acconeer, comments: "During the third quarter we have worked together with Alps Alpine to define the next generation radar sensor, A2, to be able to convert the MOU established earlier this year into a signed contract during Q4 2020."

THIRD QUARTER 1 JULY- 30 SEPTEMBER 2020

  • Net sales for the third quarter amounted to kSEK 2,780 (1,693).
  • The Gross margin was 52 (109)%.
  • Result after taxes amounted to kSEK -12,325 (-15,476)
  • Earnings per share before and after dilution was SEK -0.53 (-0.79).
  • The cash flow from operating activities was kSEK -9,338 (-12,594).
  • Cash and cash equivalents including short term deposits at the balance date amounted to kSEK 95,611 (93,812).

JANUARY- SEPTEMBER 2020

  • Net sales for the nine months period amounted to kSEK 6,549 (3,679).
  • The Gross margin was 56 (59)%.
  • Result after taxes amounted to kSEK -46,861 (-49,074).
  • Earnings per share before and after dilution was SEK -2.20 (-2.55).
  • The cash flow from operating activities was kSEK -38,068 (-41,178).

SIGNIFICANT EVENTS DURING THE THIRD QUARTER

  • Acconeer received an order from Digi-Key worth USD 52,000.
  • Acconeer received an order from BEYD worth USD 164,000 USD.
  • Björn Bengtsson was appointed as new CFO at Acconeer.
  • Acconeer signed a purchase agreement with Future Electronics.
  • Acconeer has shipped more than 200 000 A1 radar sensors since the company started selling evaluation kits.
  • It is the company's assessment that the effects of Covid-19 will have a limited impact on operations in 2020. No impact is seen on either the development or the manufacturing side. With regard to demand for the company's products, it is likely that some customer projects will be delayed, but the assessment is that this is within the uncertainty margin that always exists.
