PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT: Acconeer selected as Cool Vendor by Gartner
The radar technology company Acconeer AB was one of three companies named Cool Vendor in Novel Sensors in Gartners 2018 Cool Vendors research report. Acconeers radar sensor is based on a unique patented technology enabling millimeter accuracy with very low power consumption with a footprint of only 29 mm2. The small size and low power consumption are ideal for integration into compact battery- driven and mobile devices.
A Cool Vendor is defined by Gartner as a small company offering a technology or service that is:
Innovative – enables users to do things they couldn’t do before Impactful – has or will have a business impact, not just technology for its own sake Intriguing – has caught Gartner’s interest during the past six months
Gartner points out that the report recognizes “‘three sensors with recent technology breakthroughs and design innovations, providing technology product managers with a new perspective about using sensors to advance future products and services.” Every year, Gartner issues an annual report that recognizes innovative vendors, their products and technology.
